Chenar (Persian: چنار)[a] is a village in Dizajrud-e Sharqi Rural District of Qaleh Chay District, Ajab Shir County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.
At the 2006 census, its population was 1,173 in 279 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,118 people in 272 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,277 people in 370 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
