Hillyard Township (T8N R8W) is located in Macoupin County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 686 and it contained 330 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.19 square miles (93.7 km2), of which 36.11 square miles (93.5 km2) (or 99.78%) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) (or 0.22%) is water.[2]
