James H. Earley (born January 23, 1956) is a former American football running back who played one season with the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Michigan State and was drafted by the Jets in the seventh round of the 1978 NFL Draft.[1][2] He retired in July 1979.[3]
