Sir Edward Montague Compton Mackenzie (West Hartlepool, Durham, 1883ko urtarrilaren 17a - Edinburgo, 1972ko azaroaren 30a) eskoziar idazle, aktore eta politikaria izan zen.

Eleberriak, biografiak, istorioak eta memoriak idatzi zituen. Eskoziako nazionalista izan zen, eta Eskoziako Alderdi Nazionalaren sortzaileetako bat.

Aktore, ekintzaile politiko eta irrati-hedatzaile gisa lan egin zuen. Lehen Mundu Gerran Ekialdeko Mediterraneoko Inteligentzia Zerbitzuan egon zen. 1913tik 1920ra emaztearekin bizi izan zen Capri uhartean, eta han bizi zen komunitate homosexualari buruzko eleberriak idatzi zituen.

Ingalaterran jaio arren, bere arbaso eskoziarrei buruz ikertu zuen. Kultura gaelikoa maite izan zuen eta Eskozian kokatutako bi eleberri komiko idatzi zituen: Whisky Galore eta The Monarch of the Glen.
