マギー・オファーレル（Maggie O'Farrell 1972年5月27日 - ）とは、北アイルランドの作家^[1]。

経歴

ケンブリッジ大学卒業。 2000年『アリスの眠り』(世界文化社）でデビューし、ベティ・トラスク賞を受賞。

2005年『The Distance Between Us 』でサマセット・モーム賞を、2010年『The Hand That First Held Mine 』でコスタ賞を受賞。

2017年には幾度にもわたる臨死体験などをつづったメモワール『I Am,I Am,I Am:Seventeen Brushes with Death 』がベストセラーとなった。『ハムネット』は女性小説賞と全米批評家協会賞、ドーキー文学賞を受賞し、映像化も決定している。 (https://www.shinchosha.co.jp/sp/writer/6996/ ）
